| ✨ Kim Kelling is stepping down after 25 years at WFSU, but her legacy of mentorship lives on. | WFSU
WFSU Public Media aims to provide quality public broadcasting services to the North Florida and South Georgia area. Their studios are located on FSU's Innovation Park auxiliary campus. A transition in leadership is on the horizon for WFSU Public Media. Kim Kelling, who has served as Director of Content & Community Partnerships for many years has announced her retirement. She has been a valuable part of the WFSU team for almost 25 years. Currently, she serves as the president of the Capital Women’s Network and has been active on the boards of the Early Learning Coalition and the United Way of the Big Bend. Additionally, Kelling co-founded the ASPIRE initiative, which aims to link youth with career and educational opportunities. Under Kelling's leadership, WFSU has received numerous regional and national accolades for its news and educational programming. They have secured various grants that have allowed them to create award-winning content. Notably, WFSU has been honored with a federal Ready to Learn grant for two decades. Kelling's plans after retirement include continued community involvement. "In the times that we're in right now, I really have a focus on reaching out to people and finding ways that we can counter misinformation, disinformation, so that people can make their decisions based on truth. So that's really important to me," Kelling says. Kelling's position has been filled internally by WFSU News Director Lynn Hatter. "I'm excited for Lynn, I'm excited for the station," Kelling says.
