❇️ TLH's 1st Electric Aircraft Charging Station | CityClips #252

Florida Strong. We are thinking what you are thinking. Mike of MWP described it well, “half of Florida is numb” post-Helene and to the news of the incoming Hurricane Milton (currently CAT 5). Less than 2 weeks of a major hurricane landfall, we cannot believe it either. DJ Khaled’s “Another One” rings true for Florida’s predicament. We hear all of Tallahassee hotels are booked. We send well wishes to our friends in Tampa and Central Florida area. If you’d like a positive distraction, here are some local clips. Don’t miss FSU Discovery Days and OEV’s MED Week this week. Hope to see you at the Discovery Challenge, a shark tank-like pitch event. We’ll also feature the 2024 WOW Career Expo, which aims to motivate high school students in grades 9 to 12 to engage with local businesses for inspiration.

Tallahassee International Airport installed its first electric aircraft charging station. 🛬🔋 | WTXL

  • The first electric aircraft charging station at Tallahassee International Airport was installed specifically for Beta Technologies’ electric aircraft. They aim to create an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable, and sustainable.

  • They recently inaugurated three new electric aircraft chargers at airports across Florida. Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Crestview joined a growing network of chargers across the U.S. This mini network in Florida marks another step toward creating access to ecommerce, healthcare, and passenger transport. | LI Post

  • “Tallahassee International Airport plays a vital role in driving the local economy, generating an estimated $1 billion annually. As TLH continues to expand its impact, we are excited to join the Florida Department of Transportation, Beta, and Million Air to introduce cutting-edge electric aircraft charging infrastructure at the airport,” said David Pollard, Director of Aviation for the City of Tallahassee. | AIN
