Finding balance in art and design is Roopali Kambo’s way to express her creativity. | Tal Dem

  • Recently, Artport Gallery opened their doors to this year’s new Movers & Makers art exhibition. The exhibit includes Roopali Kambo’s artworks and artwork from local artist-jurors, panelists, and volunteers who have supported the Council on Culture & AeCOCA, it runs until November 4th.

  • Kambo grew up with artists and architects, in fact her father was a professor in architecture at Florida A&M University. Her artistic environment inspired and led her to make her own artistic journey.

  • Kambo focuses on 2D artwork, using water-based mediums. In 2018, she received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Research Grant to further her study of the relationship between culture and design, specifically by exploring the Devanagari script. This research led her to analyze what she describes as “the relevance of the script to art and design and how it reflects the community and culture.”
