| | LEADERSHIP WOMEN IN SCIENCE |
| | | FSU recently held an event called Discovery Days and gathered inspiring women in science leadership for a roundtable. 👩🏻 | FSU News This recent roundtable featured guests to discuss their journeys to pursue science, featuring FSU First Lady Jai Vartikar, Vice President for Research Stacey S. Patterson, Dean of the College of Medicine Dr. Alma Littles, National High Magnetic Field Laboratory Chief Scientist Laura Greene, and College of Nursing Associate Dean for Research Lisa Hightow-Weidman. “The entire event was filled with advice I feel like everyone should hear,” said Emily Hughes, an FSU senior studying biochemistry who works with researchers at the MagLab. “I learned that your journey may not match that of others, and that is completely okay. Achieving your goals is possible even when you aren’t following a specific plan you have set for yourself. Life will figure itself out, just make sure to show up and give it your all.” Are you an aspiring researcher? | | IN SPORTS FSU WOMEN SOCCER |
| | | The FSU Women Soccer Team won vs. Notre Dame with a score of 2-1. 🥅🎉 | Tal Dem FSU's first goal was set by senior midfielder Marianyela Jiménez, when she curled her shot into the top left corner of the net. Both teams gave a breathtaking game since they were fired up to win. On Nov. 7, FSU will have a rematch with Wake Forest, the team who beat FSU with a 4-1 score earlier this season. The winner of that game will play the winner of No. 1 Duke vs. No. 8 North Carolina on Sunday, Nov. 10 in the ACC championship game. "We are all humans, we were embarrassed. Wake was coming for us, they are a phenomenal team. It's a tall order because they are a senior lead team, 19 seniors, good attacking players and so organized in the back. Nonetheless, our team will be excited to play." FSU head coach Brian Pensky said.
