| | EMERGING TECH FSU’S TECH-NIQUES |
| | | 🔍 FSU Researchers Discover New Materials for Next-Generation Electronics and Quantum Technology | FSU News FSU researchers, Professors Peng Xiong and Dr. Biwu Ma, are working with a new class of materials called low-dimensional organic metal halide hybrids. These materials have the potential to greatly improve the performance of nano-electronic devices by enhancing memory and logic processing capabilities while also reducing power consumption and production costs. Unlike traditional electronics, which rely on the flow of electron charge, these materials use the magnetic properties of an electron’s spin to perform memory and logic functions. This approach could lead to more energy-efficient devices and smaller, faster technologies. Professor Peng Xiong has developed a new technique that generates electron spin in semiconductors without using magnets. This innovation reduces energy loss and allows for easier integration of high-density, powerful devices like microchips and other small electronic components. The research team is excited about the future possibilities of these materials. They expect their discoveries to open the door to a wide range of applications, from more efficient microelectronics to advancements in quantum technology, and are continuing to explore hundreds of materials for new, useful properties.

| | | 🅿️ Automated Parking at Its Best: Miami’s 46-Story Robotic Garage | CNBC IG The Miami robotic parking system by PARKPLUS, located at Brickell House Residences, is the tallest automated parking system in the world, standing at 46 stories high. This system allows residents to park and retrieve their cars automatically, without the need for a human parking attendant 💂🏻♂️| Learn More Using advanced robotic technology, the garage lifts and transports cars to their designated parking spots, removing the need for traditional parking ramps or spaces. This makes the parking process much faster, smoother, and more efficient. ☑️ The robotic garage is a space-saving innovation, as it replaces the traditional parking structure with a vertical system. This allows for more cars to be parked in a smaller area, making it ideal for crowded urban environments where space is limited. The system not only saves space but also helps reduce environmental impact by cutting down on carbon emissions. Cars spend less time idling, which lowers fuel consumption and helps reduce the overall carbon footprint of the building’s parking process.
