Coosh's Bayou Rouge Restaurant, a local family-operated Cajun-style spot, is set to appear in the 2nd episode of season 51 of the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. 🤩 Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri stopped by the eatery located just off Thomasville Rd. in northeast Tallahassee to shoot the episode. This restaurant is famous for its Louisiana classics, featuring everything from jambalayas to expertly made po' boy sandwiches. "It's incredible just to know that the only way they even knew about us was customers or people from around (that had) to call them or email them," owner Coosh Willis said. "So, it was nice to know that people feel that way about the restaurant." Catch the "Seafood and Comfort" episode at 9 PM tonight, via The Food Network, channel 231 for DirectTV users, channel 47 for Xfinity users and channel 110 for DISH users. It will also be on streaming platforms like Max and Hulu. 📺👀
Fun Fact: The show featured Tallahassee's Backwoods Crossings in December. Chef Leon Brunson’s Leon’s at Lake Ella, was also visited by Fieri, with an episode anticipated to air soon.

Space Mountain, the roller coaster that launched Walt Disney World into a new era, turns 50 years old this month. It was Disney World’s 1st coaster and is now the oldest roller coaster in operation in Florida. The ride, a key part of Magic Kingdom’s first major expansion, opened to the public on Jan. 15, 1975, 3 years and 3 months after the theme park’s debut. The coaster design prompted another wave of interest to the resort and put thrills into the mix. “The mystique of this ride has always been really alluring to coaster enthusiasts and people that love Disney. That’s a true testament to say that that ride is 50 years old, and people still wait in line for two hours to ride it,” said Chris Gray, vice president of Orlando-based Skyline Attractions. Mysteries of the dark, the enclosed design of Space Mountain enhances its mystique and helps create illusion, preventing riders from seeing its features or judging its speed before the ride begins.
