TLH United. Today, FSU reopened their doors at the Student Union to welcome students, faculty and staff following a brief program at 3 p.m. Families of lost loved ones recently held memorials and the community continues to show support in several ways. A GoFundMe page was set up for Robert Morales, a restaurateur, dining coordinator at FSU and volunteer special teams coach for Leon High Football. Flowers and gifts in honor of the victims were collected and will be archived at FSU. As the Spring semester comes to an end, we hope for a stronger and more united Tallahassee community. For today’s motivational issue, we found glimmers of light in North Florida.

🤝 The UPS Store has teamed up with Junior Achievement of North Florida to create entrepreneurial opportunities for youth in the region. | Junior Achievement

  • Junior Achievement (JA) believes in "possible." They work to help young people discover what's possible in their lives. They do this by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom.

  • The UPS Store offers a wide range of services for individuals and businesses, including packing and shipping, printing, mailbox services, and business solutions.

  • Through the Start Small, Grow Big Program, The UPS Store provides school-aged children with lessons in financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship. In the last three years, The UPS Store has contributed more than $100,500 to this initiative. They are thrilled to extend a round-up at the register campaign in 2025. Customers are encouraged to round up their purchases when doing business at The UPS Store. | Learn More

  • "We are deeply thankful to The UPS Store and their Start Small, Grow Big program for their transformative support," expressed Shannon Italia, President of JA North Florida. "This round up campaign will advances our mission and our efforts to assist young people who aspire to start their own businesses in the future. With the backing of The UPS Store, we can provide young minds with the essential tools to succeed in an ever-changing entrepreneurial world."

🎙️ Thomas Puketza, organizer of TEDxGainesville on CityClips Live Ep. 79.

  • Last Wednesday, Julia had the pleasure of featuring Thomas Puketza, a Speaker Coach, TEDx Speaker, organizer of TEDxGNV, and owner of Finale Events. | CityClips Live Ep. 79

  • TEDxGainesville’s mission is to highlight local individuals and stories to open minds and transform the Greater Gainesville community. Get ready to be inspired, challenged, and thrilled at the 5th event with the theme: Emergence, taking place in The Blount Center at Santa Fe College on June 21st from 12 PM, with tickets starting at $25. | Sponsorship Page

  • Here are the takeaways of his interview with Julia:

    • One of the biggest challenges as a speaker at TEDx is knowing the most important things to discuss on stage in the short allotted time of 10 to 15 minutes.

    • You need to establish your presence in the audience's mind with every moment you spend on stage.

    • Knowing what you have to say on stage is more than just a skill, it’s a process of refining and discovering your best ideas.
