Florida continues to be the No. 1 location for the number of shark bites. 😱 There is no official tally of shark attacks for 2024 yet, but according to a shark tracking website claiming that as of July 30, there have been 47 shark attack bites in 2024.

The State University System of Florida received a $1 billion boost in financial support compared to the previous year, with the average cost of a bachelor's degree down to $3,000 after financial aid. 💵
The State University System of Florida is a constitutional body led by the 17-member Board of Governors. The System has 12 universities and more than 430,000 students, making it the second-largest public university system in the nation.
Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature have prioritized higher education, investing record funding and ensuring universities have the resources needed for academic excellence and safe learning environments.

Willie Simmons was named Football Coach of the Year for leading the Rattlers to a 12-1 record and winning the SWAC and Celebration Bowl Championships. 🏈
Mike Rice won Golf Coach of the Year for leading the Rattlers to their second HBCU National Championship. 🏌️⛳
Josh Padilla was named Sports Information Director of the Year for launching the Rattlers + digital network and achieving over one million social media interactions. 📲🤳
