EDUCATION

LOW STUDENT DEBT

  • “I think it’s really important that we not only deliver an amazing education to our students, but we also do it in a way that’s the lowest cost,” said FSU President Richard McCullough.

  • Currently ranked among the top 12 public research universities for low student debt, FSU is on track to potentially claim the No. 1 spot in the coming years. Presently, about 32% of FSU undergraduates graduate with some debt, averaging $14,500—well below the national average of $29,400.

  • Florida State’s affordability is bolstered by Florida’s already low public university tuition rates, with FSU’s tuition remaining unchanged for the past 11 years. This makes FSU one of the most cost-effective options for students seeking a top-tier education. Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies Joe O'Shea emphasizes that these factors position FSU as a leader in making higher education accessible and affordable.

  • Lightcast is a worldwide authority on labor market data, offering detailed insights into skills, jobs, supply, and demand across the global labor market.

  • Gazelle is an AI-powered platform that identifies growing businesses aligned with community goals, playing a crucial role in their success.

  • "Three of our region’s recently announced projects were identified from the intelligence we gathered from Gazelle. Our region is expected to see over 600 new manufacturing jobs created with more than $75 million in capital invested. The effect of these investments on our local community and industries is significant," said Shane Chadwick, FGNW’s Business Intelligence and Marketing Manager.

  • John O'Brien, a spokesperson for Vanderbilt, has verified that they are considering expanding their business education and computing programs to West Palm Beach due to the city's growth in private equity, venture capital, fintech, and investment banking.

  • Vanderbilt's presentation outlined its vision for the West Palm Beach campus, focusing on business, AI, data science, and an innovation hub. It hopes to launch initial programs in West Palm Beach as soon as fall 2026.
