The Office of Economic Vitality (OEV) data indicate that the labor force participation rate for women in the said age group consistently exceeds the state average, highlighting Tallahassee as a thriving hub for professional women. Local efforts to empower women in the workforce, including leadership training, networking groups, and resources for small businesses, have played a significant role in this upward trend. With institutions such as FSU, FAMU, and TSC contributing to a skilled workforce, women in Tallahassee are encouraged to explore careers in a variety of fields. The OEV actively promotes policies that improve career opportunities for women, helping to keep Tallahassee a preferred destination for female professionals.

| βοΈ Lively Tech student, Sunny Ruby, received the Top Safety Award at the National Craft Championships. | Lively Technical College The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) recently hosted the 2025 National Craft Championships, also known as the "Olympics of Trades," in Las Vegas, featuring competitions across various construction trades, with nearly 200 competitors showcasing their skills. Sunny Ruby of Lively Tech Pipefitting Team received a top honor for safety at the championship. π€© The team, which included Thomas Pizzaro Park, Sunny Ruby, Bryce Koski, and Katelyn Whitfield, had a once-in-a-lifetime experience to showcase their talents and received job offers in their respective fields. Lively Technical College takes pride in fostering an environment that encourages learning, growth, and excellence, ultimately leading to job placement within the workforce upon completing the programs. βAs our workforce training programs grow across the Panhandle, strong partnerships with technical and state colleges are essential. Together, we align education with industry needs, ensuring graduates meet employer expectations for competence, quality, and safety,β said Brandi Faison, Director of Education and Safety for ABC North Florida.
